Residence of AIP Leader G.N. Shaheen Raided in Tral, Pulwama
Pulwama, November 19: In a significant development, police conducted a raid on the residence of G.N. Shaheen, a prominent leader of the Awami Itihaad Party (AIP), in the Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday.
Shaheen, an advocate and former General Secretary of the High Court Bar Association, is a close associate of Engineer Rashid’s AIP. However, the motives behind the raid remain shrouded in mystery.
AIP spokesperson Inamun Nabi expressed the party’s concerns, stating, “We have contacted the police, but they have assured us that the reasons for the raid will be disclosed later. As of now, it is unclear which agency conducted this operation.”
The incident has raised questions and added to the region’s ongoing political dynamics. Authorities are yet to issue an official statement regarding the raid.
