Showkat From Kulgam Arrested in Baramulla With AK-47
Srinagar, November 17 :
In a significant security operation, a militant associate was apprehended on Sunday in Baramulla district of North Kashmir. Acting on a specific intelligence input, a joint team of police and security forces arrested the individual at Janbazpora Binner Road.
The accused has been identified as Showkat Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Naganad Damhal Hanji Pora, Kulgam. During the operation, an AK rifle, a magazine, and other ammunition were recovered from his possession.
Authorities have registered a case, and investigations are currently underway to uncover further details about his activities and affiliations. Security forces continue to intensify their efforts to combat militancy and ensure peace in the region.
