Kidnapped Girl Reunited with Family: Police’s Swift Action Yields Success
Srinagar, Nov 11 – In a remarkable display of efficiency and dedication, the police in Rajouri successfully reunited a kidnapped minor girl with her family, resolving the case within a short span. The incident involved a 17-year-old girl from the village of Buddhkannari in Rajouri district.
According to an official source, a woman from Buddhkannari (name withheld) had filed a written complaint last week at the Darhal Police Station, reporting her minor daughter’s abduction by an unknown person. Responding swiftly, the police registered the case as FIR no. 85/2024 under Section 137(2) BNS and initiated a comprehensive investigation.
The Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Thanamandi promptly formed a dedicated team led by the Station House Officer (SHO) of Darhal Police Station. The team utilized technical tools and relied on human intelligence to track down leads, conducting numerous raids across different locations to locate the missing girl.
After extensive efforts, the police team finally succeeded in tracing the girl to the village of Ghura Sankri in Tehsil Kotranka. Their rigorous search and tactical operations culminated in the recovery of the girl, who has since been safely reunited with her family.
