Govt in ‘Honeymoon Phase,’ Let’s Talk Power Outages Next Week: Sajad Lone
Srinagar, Oct 19 (QNS): Peoples Conference leader Sajad Gani Lone has said the newly formed government is still in its “honeymoon period,” and that discussions about Kashmir’s frequent power outages can wait until next week.Speaking to reporters, Lone, according to Quick News Service (QNS), responded to concerns about the region’s power woes, saying, “What can I say? The government is enjoying its honeymoon. Let’s give them a week to enjoy, and then we can address the power issue.”Earlier today, Lone reacted to Dr. Farooq Abdullah’s statement about people’s problems taking priority over Article 370. In a post on X, Lone wrote, “Not surprised by the comments. I was expecting it.”He also criticized a newspaper for downplaying the story, saying, “Surprised that the ‘great betrayal’ isn’t a headline but relegated to page 4.”—(QNS)
