J&K Cabinet Minister Satish Sharma, on his way to Sgr Airport, personally rushes injured father -son to hospital using his own car
Srinagar, Oct 18 : In a praiseworthy act of kindness and responsibility, Jammu and Kashmir Cabinet Minister Satish Sharma stepped in to help two accident victims today on Airport Road near Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar.
The victims, a father and his son, were involved in a serious road accident when Sharma, who was on his way to the airport, stopped his convoy to offer immediate help.
Minister Satish Sharma, son of former Member Parliament Madal Lal Sharma, was today allotted several key portfolios including Food Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Transport, Science and Technology, Information Technology, Youth Services and Sports, and ARI Training, swiftly acting upon witnessing the accident.
Without hesitation, he stopped his car, personally assisted the injured father and son, and arranged for their transportation to a nearby hospital in his official vehicle.
Speaking to the news agency KINS, Minister Sharma recounted the incident: “I was on my way to Srinagar airport when I saw the accident near Bakshi Stadium. I immediately stopped the car and took them to the nearby hospital. It is our responsibility to help people wherever they need us. We must step forward to assist others in times of distress.”
Eyewitnesses at the scene praised Satish Sharma for his selfless act.
One commuter, visibly moved by the minister’s actions,said,“It was inspiring to see someone of his stature take immediate action to help the victims. Many people were hesitant to approach the scene, but Minister Sharma didn’t think twice.”
Sharma further emphasized the importance of a collective responsibility toward fellow citizens and highlighted the role of the government in serving the people. “I appeal to everyone to lend a helping hand whenever possible. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, the government is always there for the people, and we hope that citizens feel the same sense of support from us,” he further told KINS.
The minister’s quick action has earned praise from many locals, who see it as a sign of his dedication and kindness.
