Three people were injured in a road accident
Srinagar, Oct 27 (QNS)– Three people were injured in a road accident involving an Echo vehicle on the Chhatroo road in Kishtwar district on Sunday. The injured were promptly transported to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) in Chhatroo for urgent medical care.
Local authorities and police are investigating the incident to determine the cause of the crash, Quick News Service reports.
Following the incident, Union Minister and MP Dr. Jitendra Singh expressed his concern for the victims and reiterated his commitment to enhancing road safety across the region.
“I have spoken to DC Kishtwar Rajesh Kumar Shavan regarding the accident involving the Eco vehicle at Mugal Maidan. The three injured individuals have been taken to SDH Chhatroo,” Singh said.
The minister emphasized that a robust road safety plan is in progress, which includes cutting-edge radar surveillance, mandatory camera installation in commercial vehicles, vehicle fitness checks, and identifying high-risk zones. Additionally, plans are underway for installing crash barriers, road signals, and enforcing strict regulations against overloading.(QNS)
