From January 2021 to December 2023, there was a substantial increase in tourists, totalling 1,575,579 (1,306,902 local and 11,375 foreigners), he said. Notable attractions like Gagangheer, Sonmarg, Fish Point, Thajwas, Zero-Point, and the last village Sarbal experienced fresh snowfall, attracting enthusiasts.
The District Administration of Ganderbal is organising the 8th National SnowShoe Championship in Sonamarg from Feb 17 to 20, showcasing thrilling activities to attract more tourists to the region.
