SKUAST Professor Dr Mushtaq Sentenced 1 Year imprisonment For Sexual Harassment With Girl Students:
A local court in Sopore has convicted a University Professor in a sexual harassment case registered against him by police in December 2022.
Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Dar, Prof and Head Division of Agriculture extension and communication, faculty of Agriculture, Wadura had been suspended by SKUAST Srinagar after students protested against him for his alleged misconduct and sexual harassment of a female student in December 2022. The convicted professor was arrested and FIR was lodged at police station Bomai Sopore.
The court of CJM Sopore awarded one-year imprisonment to him and also fined him Rs 15,000.
